Former Oracle and Manhattan Associates executive, Greg Gilbert named VP of Services and will lead new Atlanta office; Kevin Brooks of Ariba and Apexon named VP of Marketing
TrueDemand Software, a leader in “shelf-back” supply chain solutions, today announced the appointment of two senior executives to the company’s management team, and the opening of an office in Atlanta, Georgia, to support TrueDemand’s growing customer base in consumer packaged goods and retail industries.
Former Oracle and Manhattan Associates executive, Greg Gilbert, joins as vice president of Services and will lead the new Atlanta office. Kevin Brooks, who has held senior marketing positions with Ariba and Apexon, joins as TrueDemand’s vice president of marketing. Together, Gilbert and Brooks bring more than 30 years of experience working with companies in the technology, retail, supply chain and consumer packaged goods
industries. Both will report to TrueDemand CEO, Eric Peters, and will play central roles in setting and executing TrueDemand’s strategy, growing company awareness and continuing to expand its customer base.
“Our business is growing because companies are interested in our vision for the shelfback supply chain and in the solutions we offer,” said Eric Peters, CEO of TrueDemand. “Both Greg and Kevin bring a wealth of management and leadership experience to TrueDemand, including proven track records in growing business. They will be huge assets in helping us achieve our strategic objectives as we help our customers become more efficient and increase revenues.”
For consumer goods companies, growing year-over-year sales requires total visibility into each store’s demand for goods on a real-time basis. TrueDemand Software’s “shelf back” approach delivers on this promise by pinpointing demand much faster and with greater accuracy than any alternative solution on the market. TrueDemand has a patented method for efficiently using data from across the entire supply chain, including store level sales and inventory movement information and point of sale (POS) data. The result dramatically lifts sales by driving profitable actions across a finely tuned supply chain from the retail shelf back to the retail supplier.
As vice president of services, Greg Gilbert will be leading the Atlanta office with responsibility for the company’s customer service operations. Gilbert joins the company with more than 10 years of consulting and software development experience in supply chain solutions. Most recently, Gilbert was director of strategy at Oracle, where he oversaw the application strategy for the portfolio of products in the Retail Global Business Unit. Prior to joining Oracle, Gilbert led product strategy groups at Manhattan Associates, Inc., where he directed development of the company’s RFID offerings. He was also responsible for the guidance and development of Manhattan Associates business intelligence and performance management solutions. In addition, Gilbert has been a featured presenter at a number of leading industry and academic sessions on both Supply Chain and RFID related topics.
Kevin Brooks brings over 17 years of software marketing experience to TrueDemand. As vice president of marketing, he will be responsible for the company’s marketing strategy and operations. Most recently, Brooks was vice president of marketing for Apexon, a provider of on-demand supply management solutions for manufacturers that was named a “company to watch” by the editors of Managing Automation. Brooks also spent six years at Ariba, Inc., where he led global marketing efforts to build and grow the “spend management” solutions category, including co-founding an industry-leading blog and directing strategic corporate marketing programs, sales messaging, executive communications, global public relations, analyst relations, and advertising. Prior to Ariba, Brooks held senior marketing positions at Automatic Data Processing (ADP).
