Managing Director, Supply Chain Ventures

Dr. Anderson is Managing Director of Supply Chain Ventures, LLC, a venture capital and consulting company specializing in software and biotech investing and is a retired managing partner in supply chain consulting from Accenture, a $15 billion global technology consulting company.

He currently is an independent member of the Board of Directors (and compensation committees) of LeanLogistics ($5 million annual revenue), Holland, Michigan, Control Group, a New York City-based technology consulting company ($3 million annual revenue) and of Aiko Pharmaceuticals, a start up drug development Company in Maine specializing in pain management.

Dr. Anderson is on the Board of Advisors of Logispring Management Company s.a.r.l., Geneva Switzerland, a $100 million European venture fund specializing in supply chain investments and TrueDemand Software, Inc., a California based company using RFID data to enhance supply chain management. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of New England, Biddeford, Maine.

At Accenture, he was instrumental in building the company’s $2 billion supply chain management practice in North America, Asia and Europe. Over the past thirty years, he has helped numerous global corporations transform their supply chains into world-class organizations. He was also global lead for all Accenture alliances with supply chain software companies, including i2, Manugistics, Ariba and CommerceOne.

Before joining Accenture, he was vice president in charge of logistics consulting at Temple, Barker & Sloane, Inc. (now Mercer Management Consulting) and a vice president of Data Resources, Inc. (now part of Global Insights, Inc), where he founded the Firm’s transportation and logistics consulting practice. He was a founding partner of Operations Technology, Inc., a web-enabled, intelligent messaging software company (sold to Neptune Orient Lines). He has also taught classes in undergraduate and graduate level business courses at Northwestern, MIT, Boston University and Northeastern University.

Dr. Anderson is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the United Kingdom and a Member of the Council of Logistics Management in the United States. He currently serves on the Technology Management Council of Boston College. He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi. He is a frequent public speaker and has published numerous articles on supply chain strategy and business management in leading journals and websites, including the Supply Chain Management Review, Supply Chain Practice Journal, The Journal of Finance and Achieving Supply Chain Excellence through Technology (www.ASCET.com).
