Jie Weng

Co-founder, Director of Product Management

Jie Weng is a co-founder and serves as the Director of Product Management of TrueDemand Software. Prior to TrueDemand, Jie was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Mayfield, helping evaluate investment opportunities in supply chain technologies. From 2000 to 2004, Jie was a research scientist at SAP where he designed and developed the SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure (Patent Issued). He was also the technical lead for SAP’s Auto-ID pilot between Procter & Gamble and Wal-Mart. He has been a contributing member to the Software Action Group of the Auto-ID Center, now EPCglobal, since 2001 where he co-authored the latest Savant specification. Prior to joining SAP, Jie was a researcher at Motorola Labs’ Network Infrastructure group where he focused on Mobile IP and self organizing networks. He received a M.S in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a B.S. (with Highest Distinction) in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.
