The mission of TrueDemand Software is to lift sales for consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies by making market execution a sustainable competitive advantage.
Our software-as-a-service solution provides daily insights and directed actions that enable retail account teams to attack the root causes of lost sales at the shelf. Some of the world’s most successful brands use TrueDemand to predict and prevent out-of-stocks and to quickly prioritize actions at the store level that would otherwise remain hidden within spreadsheets and scattered across multiple data sources.

Our Science
Science is at the heart of the TrueDemand solution. Developed by a team with strong academic training and deep domain knowledge, the most direct application of TrueDemand science is in our forecasting methodology. TrueDemand forecasts are accurate at all levels of the supply chain and have enabled the rapid determination of root causes and recommended actions to prevent out-of-stocks. Science also enables TrueDemand to handle imperfect data, multiple decision criteria and limited processing time. It exploits all of the available data, such as information obtained from point-of-sale (POS) or radio frequency identification (RFID) sources.
Our History
TrueDemand was founded in 2004 by experts in retail science and in the consumer product supply chain. Founders included Eric Peters, Dr. Hau Lee, Raymond Blanchard, Dr. Li Chen, and Jie Weng. Our intial focus was on helping consumer product companies make better use of data being generated by RFID initiatives, but we soon realized that our science could also deliver highly effective predictions and recommendations for all items. Since then, TrueDemand has pioneered a range of solutions for retail account teams in consumer product companies to help lift sales at the shelf. As TrueDemand has grown, we have added specialists with experience in retail replenishment science and systems to our team. We continue to innovate and extend the value of our solutions with guidance from our customers and from our advisory board which includes well-known experts from industry, consulting, and academia.
